The Initiative

Jeanette and Alexander knew each other since childhood.
They fulfilled their dreams spending each day together.
Their only remaining wish was to be together at the end.
On their 75th wedding anniversary, they passed away in each other's arms.
This is where the story begins...

Hand in hand,
They play as children,
Girl and boy,
No need of toys,
Just in a field,
Or up a tree,
Hand in hand,
For all to see.

Heart in heart,
And into life,
As man and wife,
Share pain and joy,
No matter what,
And through all things,
Look in their eyes,
And hear them sing.

Life in life,
Fulfilling full,
For all in all,
They do stand tall,
In family’s eyes,
From day to day,
Just joy in being,
Always this way.

And hand in hand,
Their tale is told,
Though they’ve grown old,
Forever young,
Never to part,
Soul initiative,
Right from the start.

The Eyes of a Lady

Can you see the beauty?
When surrounded by flowers?
A colorful cascade,
Arranged for the heart?
Can you see the eyes,
Of she who strolls through it?
In appreciation’s song,
Soul singing from the start.

She sings without words,
She sings without music,
For her notes are in life,
Beating around us all.
She sings in the workplace,
She sings within her home,
Music to be recognized,
And felt by all.

In her eyes’ reflection,
The world appears in truth,
In her eyes’s reflection,
I see further than beyond.
I can taste colors of joy,
And feel the hues of pain,
And reconnect my heart,
When all feeling is gone.

She tastes a million voices,
And hears a million colors,
Speaks of a million things,
Just trying to find the words.
Yet in silence I can hear,
When I just use my eyes,
For they can see the music,
Of all the things unheard.

And now I see the beauty,
Of life beyond eternal,
With reality unfolding,
Past imagination’s skies.
For all things are revealed,
Through love’s great inspiration,
As beauty keeps unfolding,
In my soulmate’s eyes.

The Girl With The Flower

For a friend facing much.

In the realm of possibilities,
There are no true exceptions,
For all things may happen,
Seemingly without reason,
Bringing darkness for a season,
And with it pain.

Through truth,
We doubt,
No truth,
Will shout,
Through fear,
To ears,
Not hearing.

Life is possibility,
As all things are of energy,
And energy is from love,
In creation from the heart,
Which God’s faith did impart,
With power beyond comprehension,
To His children.

We have power,
For this hour,
To see clear,
All that’s dear,
For through knowing,
We are showing,
What is truth.

Our minds bend reality,
Through the strength of passion,
And the force of our will,
In the work of our hands,
Though our hands seem meek,
And our hearts grow weak,
In Him we are strong.

We will not fail,
Though we seem frail,
Do not give in,
To illusions of grief,
For testing is brief,
In eternity’s true reflection,
Casts away all deception.

It is the girl with the flower,
That is the strongest of them all,
For her strength is of the heart,
And she goes forth in stride,
Her love is her pride,
Handing beauty and strength,
To another soul.

The Creation of Destruction

What we create,
And what we destroy,
Are simply two sides,
Of the very same mirror,
Reflecting who we are,
Or nothing at all.

When we create beauty,
By taking of the living,
And adding life plenty,
Through the sweat of our hands,
And the pain of our hearts,
We destroy destruction.

When we create colors,
By taking what was not,
From imagination’s shadows,
Thus making it real,
We bring dreams to life,
In creating creation.

When we create darkness,
To fill our heart’s empty place,
Far more vast than space,
Which only love can replace,
Then possibility withers,
As we obliterate hope.

On The Highway

A sound in the distance,
Like a subtle wind,
While winding in darkness,
A pair of lights shine through,
Coming from and going to,
Places I do not know,
A story we cannot show,
Concealed in the night.

She does not know her soul,
Taken from her so early,
The iron gate shut in youth,
Sealing in the awful truth,
The pain that she must hide,
All the tears which she cried,
Now ice inside a frozen heart,
From that which he had taken.

For the father of her heart,
Became the nightmare of her days,
With neighbors being so near,
No one chose to hear,
She could not cry for help,
And so the chapter never closed,
Like the petals from a rose,
The years had fallen away.

She is now afraid of love,
And she cannot hold the hand,
Of a truthful loving man,
Or the God who still holds her,
Though her face is turned away,
She lost the strength and will to pray,
As she drives a lonely road,
That ended before it began.

Reach out within your heart,
That she may one day find her start,
And know life holds love and meaning,
As each soul holds a story,
One soul behind each face,
Eyes behind a pair of lights,
The lights of stories fill my view,
On the highway.

The Heart of Noise - For the Rolling Stones - From San Diego 2015

This is my thanks to you for the incredible show in San Diego!

It begins with a feeling,
It begins with a drive,
It is rhythm from the heart,
That keeps us all alive.

It is the pulse of all energy,
The pulse of every soul,
From beginning of the feeling,
To the end of the show.

An instrument in hand,
Puts notes into the mind,
A wordless word expression,
Comes forth within its time.

Then the music takes shape,
It is the language of all ages,
Crossing spoken words and culture,
Behold the mystery of sages!

And with the lights turned down,
With all the thousands near,
The stage becomes alive,
With a sound that God can hear.

Thunder rises from the drums,
As the guitars cut through the air,
And a voice then raises fire,
As crowds rise from their chairs!

It is magic to experience,
It is a force to be deployed,
As souls rise to the heavens,
Lifted by the Heart of Noise!

Crossroads of the Heart

Where tears and joy cross roads,
And mystery collides with truth,
Life occurs in harmony,
Contrasts in common root.

In a café rests a good book,
Before it sits a mother and child,
Radio sounds and caffeine in my mind,
Signs that life is a mix of the wild.

Clouds caress the burning sun,
Shielding an Earth coming alive,
As we find straight roads in chaos,
To the way of love we strive.

For the wonderful images of life,
The eyes must be closed to see,
As heart perceives through illusion,
What always was and is to be.

For a song is best heard in silence,
When sounds are perceived loud and true,
Take time to embrace the serene,
And you will always know what to do.
