Stones of Fire

The simplicity of magic,
Is joining passion with persistence,
Never giving up,
Makes imagination real.
The first essential need,
Bringing magic into life,
A non-negotiable term,
It is the skill to feel.

To feel is not entitled,
It is a skill to be honed,
A stone requiring polish,
Each and every day.
It’s glory comes through pain,
Made more precious through the fire,
Adding beauty to the world,
In a very special way.

Along the way are stones,
Each a different color,
Catching the light of God,
Creating a rainbow through love.
A precious stone enfolded,
Within gray rock of the earth,
Requires free will sparks of change,
To capture the glorious light from above.

With many colored gemstones,
Beneath the sun’s rays,
Each one will reflect,
A different hue of fire.
Let our feelings reflect,
God’s perfect light above,
Through the colors of our gifts,
And love will take it higher.

Beyond Words

 When words fail,
 The song prevails through silence,
 The unconveyed becomes clear,
 Where the heart takes charge,
 Between the space of thoughts,
Where the soul sees through the eyes.

 Behind each set of eyes,
Lies a soul that is eternal,
With a light seeing untold stories,
 Triumphs and tragedies unimagined,
And a single word can have the power,
To lead that soul towards light or darkness.

For those who seem great are simply actors,
While the  unseen souls are truly great,
As strength is not in the display of power,
But lies in how someone uses his weakness,
Knowing that there is only one truly strong,
He who holds all of our lives in His hand.

The true treasures found on earth,
Are the smiles one collects from others,
 Instilling a moment of joy,
Which can create a lifetime of hope,
For sending light through a chain of souls,
 Is life‘s meaning beyond words.
