In Pursuit

This was written on the basis of an inspirational meeting.
The words will tell the tale!
A normal day,
In a normal store,
And with my wife,
As was before,
With hearing aids,
I was a sight,
And she pursued,
In her delight,
With signing speech,
She read my lips,
With news of help,
She did equip,
To tell me where,
They teach my hands,
To share my words,
And thoughts which stand,
She had to run,
Just to catch me,
If there was chance,
To set me free,
With resource help,
To give a start,
What she did share,
Was her own heart,
So then I thought,
What would life be,
If we all tried,
Like her to be?
Pursuing chance,
To do some right,
And add our love,
To light the night.

The Prince of Hearts - For Robin Williams

I do not know what to say,
When I sit down to write.
Yet I know the words will come,
As I am called forth to speak.
Was it like that with you,
When you were with us,
Upon the stage?
The words seemed to come,
When you looked into our hearts.
All the things of the world,
Would come into your mind,
You would read what to say,
Through our eyes from the stage.
You would touch us in strength,
And we could not help but laugh.
You would touch us in life,
With your innocent smile.
Yet your eyes would tell me,
Much more than words would say.
As theater became the stage,
To reach us in new ways.
Bringing us magical joy,
As Genie of the lamp.
Bringing hope beyond words,
In the Awakening of souls.
Bringing healing to pain,
Portraying Patch in his life.
As you became Peter Pan,
We became your children.
Yet I do not understand,
How the door closed behind you.
Yet you did not understand,
The pain that took you away.
Yet I will always understand,
The truth life conveys,
Because you sought our hearts,
Within them you always stay.

Dear Holland,

They rose into the air,
And were taken from the sky.
We rose from where we were,
Taken by the shock.
Yet when I see your eyes,
I see their hearts living on.
I hear the joy of their laughter,
When I look into your eyes.
I know the depth of their love,
When I look into your souls.
Their hearts beat with yours,
Through every word you say.
Their souls shine with glory,
With everything you do.
What words can not describe,
Your eyes have spoken to me.
What your ears can not hear,
My heart speaks to you.
I am one of many millions,
As the world holds you in their arms.
I am one voice in the silence,
Of millions lifting you in prayer.
Where there is love,
No souls can ever be apart.

Woman

She is mystery,
Contemplating her feelings,
As her emotions change direction,
Like the breeze before a storm.

She is joy,
As the music of her heart,
Only longs to hear you sing,
As she shares the song of life.

She is sorrow,
As pain that she will know,
Can only come with doubt,
In all she truly is.

She is beauty,
While remodeling a room,
With paint upon her hair,
Her smile entraps your heart.

She is ageless,
With a child’s hand in hand,
In play from soul to soul,
Time’s illusion slips away.

She is wisdom,
Seeing truth in true light,
When she makes a living choice,
To see truly through her heart.

She is woman,
Seeking to share all things,
Causing the heart to sing,
She is the love of life.

The Tears of Mary

I was holding water in my hand and suddenly realized it never leaves Earth.
It was then that I considered I could be holding what once were the tears Mary
cried at the cross of her Son.

Emotions do convey,
When words are unspoken,
As waves upon the water,
They become a token,
Passed between souls,
Together on the path.

Nothing has left us,
As energy can’t be destroyed,
Through the good we do add,
Expanding Heaven’s boundaries,
An infinity of joy,
Going on forever.

Just like the waters,
Which have never left Earth,
Being born living in them,
Surrounding and inside us,
To new shores they draw us,
In life’s wondrous journey.

Every drop of rain,
Falls again and again,
Giving birth to new joy,
Since life is born through pain,
As by the Cross sorrow fell,
In the tears of Mary.

What the World Needs

This shows a rare sight of John Paul II, as he appears alone.
He was never alone, but always communing with God.
We are the same in a sense, and always choosing who we will be.

I just read a book by Jason Everet about John Paul II and his 5 Great Loves.  This book changed my approach to prayer, and strengthened my view and understanding of faith.  I had written about John Paul II before in a piece called "The Compassionate Voyager" at the hour he left us.  That was sent to Everet with a promise that after his book, I would write again and share with him.  His book details the life of John Paul II better than anything I can imagine, but it was not about him.  The book was about me.  It was about each of us in our relationship to God, and how we are going to use the gift of life.  As God as my witness I will not loose that message, but grow.  Upon closing the cover of that book and praying that prayer, I wrote this.

The illusion,
So great illusion,
Is that life begins and ends.
Yet life’s song,
The greatest song,
Through hearts never ends.

The Spirit,
The Holy Spirit,
Is proof life thrives.
Through hearts,
Through all hearts,
Displays God’s love alive.

A man,
A simple man,
Manifested life of love.
He called,
He cried aloud,
Inviting the Spirit from above.

Forward,
He took it forward,
Through trails to mankind.
The Second,
John Paul the Second,
Left no soul behind.

Me,
He took me,
On Christ’s journey of love.
Transformed,
Forever transformed…

How can it be,
One such as me,
Pulled from the depths,
Lost and bereft,
Nothing by far,
Lifted to the stars,
To know time and space,
By the love of God’s face?

The world,
All the world,
Hears all of our souls.
To know,
They will know,
The extent of our goals.

Me,
Such as me,
Given the gift to write.
Must,
And I must,
Continue till the night.

Share,
I must share,
What I know to be true.
Love’s fire,
A living fire,
To ignite within you.

God is the mystery of truth,
He is the fire of peace,
Bringing captivity to love,
Which sets us free to live,
Bringing the knowledge of blindness,
Which grants vision to our hearts,
Realizing weakness through pain,
We see the source of true strength,
For time is the communion of souls,
And truth is we are one in God.

Full Circle

One,
Created two,
Both Adam and Eve,
Far across the seas,
In joy amidst the trees,
Timeless.

Willing,
They willed to leave,
And they did grieve,
To live in sweat,
Children to beget,
Family.

Wandering,
Children across lands,
Making many plans,
In peace and strife,
In love and life,
Living.

Meaning,
In wonder of the day,
All to do and to say,
Walking paths of the land,
Seeking warmth of other hands,
Together.

Many,
Much to see and to do,
Seeking love and finding true,
Families made under the sun,
Giving start to such as you,
One.
