Inspired by Eastlake Church making one last Night to Remember against all odds on 3/13/2021.
Magic is a real thing,
It is made through love,
The fire for all spirits,
From his heart above.
For the seemingly impossible,
Can happen any day,
For love knows no boundaries,
Love is the only way.
They would give time and money,
They would give a place for song,
So the meek and unnoticed,
Could have a night of Prom.
For those with special needs,
And the parents bearing scars,
Could see their children honored,
And treated just like stars.
Then pandemic fears hit,
Where people could not meet,
The red carpet that they loved,
Was pulled from under their feet.
Then the church came together,
They prayed to find a way,
To give their love to those with need,
And then they named the day.
They gathered in the parking lot,
So the families could drive through,
With gifts and cheers and music,
Along with anything else they could do.
And so a miracle did happen,
Through a line of cars,
With love given along they way,
So those kids could feel like stars.
