A Watch has a maker,
For time has beginning and end.
Yet from old hands to young,
From her hands to his,
She gives it to him once again.
Her age is but miles,
Her wrinkles cruel illusion,
For the fire in her eyes is still young.
Time is an illusion,
As all life is collusion,
In his heart her life had begun.
The watch became a key,
Until her image he did see,
Her beauty holding him fast.
To so long ago,
He knew he must go,
In finding his love at last.
For reality bends,
Around the force of love,
Drawing two souls together.
The impossible happens,
And miracles unfold,
Between souls joined by this tether.
Their hands came together,
Their hearts did join,
He laid the watch in her hand.
When he was torn away,
She held the watch every day,
Praying to see him again.
Somewhere in time,
This timepiece has joined,
Two hearts in love without end.
As it loops through time,
This serves to remind,
Love has no beginning or end.
