Unanswered Questions

There are some questions which can not be answered.

 

A voice on the wire,

A friend through the fire,

Time spent well in hand.

Met by chance in pause,

On a path of common cause,

A friendship bond unplanned.

Chapters open and close,

While pages hearts compose,

Writing our stories of life,

Till path comes round a bend,

And one meets one’s end,

Leaving our hearts in strife.

While the sun begins to set,

Faces past I will never forget,

Upon the water’s reflections,

Paths will always find their end,

A face the memories still send,

Leaving unanswered questions.

With a good steady hand,

And a head for science,

Life’s goal to benefit us all.

He achieved his standing,

With hard work and planning,

I could see him standing tall.

A home and good life,

Great career and a wife,

Is the story his heart sung.

What circumstance could send,

This soul to an end,

Where in the dark he hung.

While the sun begins to set,

Faces past I will never forget,

Upon the water’s reflections,

Paths will always find their end,

A face the memories still send,

Leaving unanswered questions.

In my dreams I see him,

In my dreams he lives,

Where his smile lives on.

Connections never break,

Though hearts may ache,

When a face is gone.

For all he was,

And all he will be,

In my life will live,

May the best within him,

Shine forth from my heart,

This gift I may give.

While the sun begins to set,

The stars begin to shine,

Upon the water’s reflections,

For our souls will never end,

This truth love always sends,

In answer to our questions.
