I just wrote this as I recently saw Mandy Harvey’s performance on Got Talent four years ago when she stood before Simon Cowell completely deaf, sang her own song like an angel, and got the golden buzzer. Look at her profile now and you will see she is releasing a new album, so what happened was no fluke.
When you truly have love for something or someone, ALL THINGS are possible!

“Song of the Heart”
I can sing a song once,
I can sing 1 million times,
There is no real difference,
Since a song is forever.
The song of life is endless,
And we each add our voices,
Given a chance to sing,
We must take hold with passion.
Things may seem to stop us,
Like no longer hearing notes,
No longer being able to walk,
Or no longer being able to see.
Yet we only truly stop,
When the heart stop trying,
Imagination stops implying,
All we can truly be.
Passion overcomes all obstacles,
Giving great power to faith,
Leading to great actions,
Where miracles are born.
When the deaf stand up and sing,
The legless complete marathons,
The silent speak volumes,
The blind of heart learn how to see.
For only the heart has true vision,
Seeing all that can be done,
For through the miraculous power of love,
Life‘s victories are won.
