Waves

“One could think her parents just died alone, but no one is alone in love.”

The waves keep rolling,

In and out,

Bringing things to shore,

 Life in and out,

As the sea is breathing,

Throuout eternity.

Love keeps flowing,

In and out,

With all of the heartbeats,

On every shore,

Breath of life,

Binding every soul.

In the quiet times,

By any shore,

My heart hears whispers,

Of lives from the past,

Of those in the future,

For life is eternal.

The waves are the rhythm,

Of the song of life,

Where there is only hello,

And precious moments of life,

For there is no goodbye,

There is only love.

The Stallion and the Rose

The rose springs forth,

Born to blossom,

Embracing the sky,

Creating color in the world,

Petals spread without fear,

She was born for a reason,

Adding music from her heart,

As she was born to do.

The stallion runs free,

Existing for speed,

Embracing the fields,

Becoming the wind,

 Stretching forth his legs,

He exists for a reason,

Adding music into life,

As he was born to do.

The body requires effort,

As a rule of nature,

And efforts bring forth,

Changes in the world,

As the soul requires effort,

To create what was not,

Making imagination reality,

And life full of magic.

We were all born to create,

With our fears to face,

Yet only good works,

Can come from good seeds,

Making my fear,

To leave someone without,

When we have the chance,

To fulfill a great need.

The mark of the living,

Is to always create,

In words or actions,

Images or songs,

Any way to inspire,

To share joy and love,

Fueling the fires of creation,

To which we all belong.

The Reason for Healing

 

There are meetings of the heart,

There are meetings of the soul,

Which are destined to be,

When hearts are free, 

To be led by the spirit,

To where one must be,

Like a survivor of cancer,

Who returned to a clinic,

Who sat by a woman,

Missing her hair,

And in silence she offered

Her hand of support,

Which the other woman took,

As in silence they wept,

In silence they bonded,

Without words they shared,

Because sharing is believing,

That we can give love,

That we can be led by God,

To be where we must be,

To see who we must see,

Lifting a broken soul,

That we did not know,

Making our own pain a blessing,

To heal another heart,

A gift we can always impart,

Making our trials a miracle,

When we are brave to step forward,

Looking into another soul,

To overcome pain together,

Which is the reason for healing.

Forgotten Souls

Walking through the crowd, 

Nameless faces,

They know the shadows,

Lonely places.

Born as children,

Happy smiles,

Life events,

Tragic miles.

Hiding stories,

Behind the eyes,

Outcast souls,

Social lies.

Differences made,

With just a smile,

Hope is given,

For a while.

Angels do walk,

In our midst,

In ministering to souls,

We minister to His.

I have been on the ground,

As people walked by,

Though now I stand strong,

I still wonder why.

The cure for our pains,

Comes only from love,

The source of this power,

Flows from above.

Threads of Sound

For once I thought let the picture be what I was doing while writing the poem.

 

We speak into the wind,

And they are carried away,

We write them upon paper,

To travel forth among souls.

Our thoughts silent whispers,

Take shape through our voices,

Different sounds among languages,

Share the same picture whole.

Such as the doorway,

Where things alive in the heart,

Take shape in the air,

To become alive in our life.

Awakening the heart,

Our souls receive breath,

To fan love’s flames,

Which change the world.

In this way,

God gave us the power,

To share life‘s gifts,

From heart to hearts.

Joining our lives,

With threads of sounds,

Where dreams become real,

And miracles do start.

Crossings

Our souls cross paths of others,

Random chance or meant to be?

Can we perceive the truth of life,

If we do not see as others see?

Our hearts were given,

To provide us vision,

The power to see,

Requiring decision.

Souls cross the paths of others,

Like threads in a tapestry,

Once crossed they are woven,

With a lifetime of love,

Or a quick smile in a street,

Faces are never really forgotten,

Branded on the heart when souls meet.

God gave us himself in each other,

With no single face capturing all of his,

Yet he gave us free will to choose,

Because words and actions change lives,

Changing the course of another heart,

Making the simplest things most powerful,

For we can inspire another to lose hope,

Or to go out and change the world.

Meetings can never be random,

When we have power to choose what will be,

We may not understand the meaning,

Good will come even when we do not see.

I have planted many seeds in my travels,

Without seeing the fruit they did bring,

Yet when my eyes close under the stars,

My heart can hear other souls sing.

 Each of us has many roles,

Wearing many hats per day,

One is a mother and a daughter,

A wife and again,

Another is a father and a son,

A husband and a friend. 

He was an actor and a husband,

Giving us characters to feel,

He was a father and a friend,

Being himself in each performance,

Making portrayals truly great,

On the stage and on the reel.

He had found the thing he loved,

Being a part of many lives,

Through his pain and his trials,

Finding healing in the giving,

He found meaning in the living,

To share with his soulmate and wife.

Later in his long life,

He found God in his heart,

Finding the truest role in eternity,

The source of love through infinity,

Keeping him young through the years,

True joy with a brand new start.

His light on Earth was for a time,

Yet his soul shines true and bright,

Through every heart he ever touched,

With every smile he ever gave,

Glowing in the heart of his soulmate,

Keeping her warm through the night.

Ava

For a girl who first saw the stars from a better place.

 Two souls touch,

Before one’s eyes open,

Magic of conception,

Love in two souls.

A third heart will come,

When there is two much love,

Another cup to be filled,

For love knows no limits.

Love knows no boundaries,

Not stopping at life or death,

Not having a beginning or end,

Just like human souls.

Know that Ava shines forever,

Her light through your lives,

Having life through her parents,

Who hold her soul in their hearts.

You took a captain who could make one afraid to smile,

And you made us laugh as he dealt with Maria,

You made us fly when they danced across the floor,

And cry as they fell forever in love.

You took an alien from the pages of Star Trek,

Gave him eloquence and poise beyond expectation,

Then when the battle lines were drawn,

He became the Klingon we would never want to meet.

The one thing you did not give is anticipation,

With your roles being varied and different,

Rising further up with the children’s film “Up”

We were never let down with what we would see.

In later years your heart stayed in your craft,

Giving us a history of films as rich as your life,

Traveling to “Hanover Street” with dear Harrison,

Facing peril for the honor of your wife.

You were with us through all of your days,

You will be with us through our days to come,

For to enter each heart is forever,

And forever is never undone.

Chasing the Sunset

Did you chase the sunset?

Did it get away?

Did you catch the sunset?

What did it say?

Sweet whispers to the heart,

Of the Song of Life,

Bringing peaceful evening,

At the end of a day of light.

No sunset is the same,

Every night a work of art,

Even my dog would watch,

In evening breeze it stole his heart.

Do not miss a sunset,

No matter what you do,

Never miss a sunset,

They are painted just for you.

 

 

The Promise

For the family of Max Lenail

 Our souls are connected,

Through tethers of love,

Withstanding time and trial,

Becoming triumphs of humanity,

So when one heart is taken,

Many hearts feel the loss,

A light taken away from life,

Against the darkness of night.

The night provides a backdrop,

For all the stars to shine,

Reminding us of souls,

From the past and the future,

For each soul is eternal,

Each laugh is unique,

And no voice can be silenced,

When love never dies.

 

He loved the smell of nature,

He loved the songs of the wind,

Where the song of life was heard,

His heart found joy and peace,

So his voice is in our hearts,

And his laughter is in the wind,

With these glimpses of eternal life,

Our souls can be at ease.

 

All days have a sunrise,

All days have a sunset,

Yet love is a creation,

With no beginning and no end,

And in the celebration of life,

As his love shines in your hearts,

Hold tight unto the promise,

Of being together once again.

 

 

Greatness

An unknown name,

On a nameless street,

You stand as a face in the crowd.

Wondering where life leads,

While pursuing daily needs,

Thinking chances are seldom allowed. 

As a child we all dreamed,

Of successes that seemed,

Only an education away.

While others find success,

And we think they are the best,

For so many know their names.

Yet one simple thing,

Can change a life’s path,

Then that life can change the world.

Because you showed a kindness,

While others passed by,

In a seemingly cold dark world.

Just one simple action,

A spark lighting fire,

Makes the flame of love grow bright.

And so lives do shine,

Guiding others through the dark,

Like stars against the blanket of night.

I may never change the world,

My name will not be in lights,

But I delight in changing one heart.

That one heart can change the world,

That one heart can bless the many,

And your small act created the start.
